About Prospero

Prospero is provided free to retired BBC employees. It can be also be sent to spouses or dependants who want to keep in touch with the BBC. It includes news about former colleagues, pension issues, and developments at the BBC. Prospero includes classified advertisements.

To get on the mailing list, call the pension service line on 029 2032 2811.

Prospero is currently sent to c11,000 pensioners (including dependants). Prospero is also available on audio tape for those with sight impairment, call the Service Line if you would like to receive your audio version.

Produced on behalf of the Trustees and edited by a former staff member, its purpose is to inform retired staff of news about the scheme, and to provide a platform for communication with former staff, both between themselves, and between them and the BBC.

From the BBC website you can get past copies of Prospero the free newspaper for pensioners.

Ariel

Ariel is the BBC staff newspaper. A weekly publication of news, analysis and opinion, it is distributed free to staff and is also available to the public by subscription. It comes out on Tuesdays.

Ariel also has an online news service which is only available internally within the BBC.
