At our recent AGM Leslie Huss-Smickler organised a great array of booklets provided by Age UK, covering a diverse range of topics from mental health to wills and estate planning. I’m aware that the majority of our members were unable to attend the AGM and therefore I would like to remind them that Age UK provide a comprehensive Information and Advice resource on their website. This resource covers five main areas:- Money and Legal, Health and Well-Being, Care and Support, Travel and Hobbies and Work and Learning.
You can find all this at https://www.ageuk.org.uk/
They also run a FREE national Advice line which you can call 8.00am to 7.00 pm 365 days of the year as well as a telephone befriending service. Their number is
0800 055 6112
Age UK is our largest charity for older people so please take advantage of their services.
We also have a diverse list of useful links covering a range of topics and interests which you can find on our home page at Media and News
